Why am I getting boxes after I drag and drop an RPC into Revit?

In some cases, you may experience a situation where you get a box instead of the RPC you were attempting to drag and drop into Revit.

1. The first thing you should check is that you are logged in to the ArchVision Content License Service.
1.) Click to expand the services tray.
2.) Click on the AVAIL logo.

3. If you see something like this then you are indeed logged in:
4. If there is Login option visible, please login with your AVAIL or ArchVision credentials.

2. Check is that you have the latest version of AVAIL.
You should be running AVAIL 3.15.00 at a minimum for RPC drag and drop to be functioning properly.
3. Clear your cached Revit families
1. Navigate to C:\Users\{your user folder}\AppData\Local\ArchVision\AVRevitPlugin
2. Delete all the files inside the AVRevitPlugin folder.
3. Then restart or start Revit.
4. Right click over the RPC that you are trying to drag and drop and choose download.
5. Once the content is downloaded try to drag and drop the RPC content.
If you are still getting boxes then please try the following steps to solve this issue:
1. Close Revit.
2. Navigate to C:\Users\{your user folder}\AppData\Local\ArchVision\AVRevitPlugin
3. Delete all the files inside the AVRevitPlugin folder.
4. Next, delete the AVAIL folder from C:\Users\{your user folder}\AppData\Local\AVAIL
5. Restart AVAIL and login.
6. Now, start Revit and download and place the content again.
